Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) has announced the distribution of 21 transformers across its franchise area spanning Oyo, Ogun, Osun, Kwara as well as parts of Ekiti, Niger and Kogi states, The Punch reports.
The IBEDC said in a statement that the transformers were distributed last month, energising over 7,000 customers in 70 communities. The Chief Commercial Officer, IBEDC, Mr. Deolu Ijose, was said to have disclosed this at the inauguration of the 300kVA transformer at Mashallahu community in Kwara State.
He said the investment was in fulfillment of the company’s promise to provide better service and bring succour to its customers throughout its franchise area. He said the prompt payment of bills as well as clearing of outstanding debts by the communities was the major factor influencing the decision of the company to invest in critical infrastructure such as transformers, cables and poles for them.topics from
