Yesterday, reports made round that Nigerian dancehall artist, Patoranking was allegedly arrested at the Entebbe International Airport, Uganda for failing to comply with the country’s check in rules. But in an exclusive with PulseNG the singer's publicist revealed that it was false claim. Trending News Uganda reported that Patoranking, was arrested and held by the authorities for 7 hours at the Entebbe International Airport in Kampala Road, Uganda for failure to adhere to check in rules.
While his publicist Omotayo Levi, debunked the claim saying the reports were false. According to him, "It's a lie, it's not true."
It was reported that the "Daniella Whyne" crooner allegedly accused the immigration officers of disrespecting and harassing him when they asked him to comply with the rules. Failing to adhere to their lawful check-in rules and also not securing his entry visa. The singer who arrived at the airport around 4:00pm was detained for over 7 hours and was only released and given entry visa after apologising to the airport officials.
Patoranking's visit to Uganda is to promote his newly released album ‘God over everything’. The 16-track Reggae album sees the dancehall act feature artistes like Olamide, Wizkid, Phyno and KWAM 1.
