Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto state has assured Nigerians that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will deliver the dividends of democracy as promised by the party.
The governor gave this assurance in his Sallah broadcast message in Sokoto on Friday.
I want to assure you that we would not leave any stone unturned to meet our promises and the trust you had on us. By the special grace of Allah, we shall deliver.
You might recall that few days ago, President Muhammadu Buhari came back from medical vacation which took him three months. Thank God, the President is recuperating and by the grace of God, all would, very soon felt the dividends of democracy.
What remains for us, is to continue to pray for God to rectify the affairs of our dear country.
As you all know, before the advent of the APC government, our country was in great distress, as we were caught in the most trial times of our history, which include Boko Haram insurgency and the near shut-down of all sectors of the economy.
There was no water, no light and citizens were insecure. Poverty had pervaded the nation with the majority of citizens impoverished.
Inspite of the long way made to go, we have modestly made impact on security, availability of petroleum and improved agricultural activities.
On Sokoto, he assured the people that his administration would not relent in re-invigorating all sectors of the economy.
Tambuwal prayed to God to make peace prevalent in the country and also to see to the safe return of hajj pilgrims.topics from
