  Fayose Bars Public Procession, Students’ Activities In Ekiti

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state has banned all students’ activities and public procession in the state.

In a press release issued by Fayose’s Special Adviser on Public Communications, Lere Olayina, the governor said the move was to curb the gathering of cultists who are said to always embark on Public procession on July 7th of every year.

Fayose said security operatives in the state have been put on the red alert to prevent any such gathering in Ijero Ekiti, Oye Ekiti and other towns with high students’ population.

He said the security operatives  are to conduct stop and search on any vehicles within the state.

There must be no activities of secret cults in Ekiti State henceforth and there must no students procession of any form.

Anyone found culpable in this act of using cultists to cause anarchy in the State will be dealt with decisively. This directive should be adhered to strictly.
