Patience Jonathan, wife of former President Goodluck, has petitioned the House of Representatives over what she tagged as harassment from Federal Government agencies.
In the petition written by the former First Lady’s lawyers and presented on the floor of the House on Thursday by Rep. Bright Tamuno (PDP-Rivers State), she alleged that her personality is persistently attacked by government agencies.
She also alleged in the petition that the attacks were being orchestrated by mostly the officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
She, therefore, urged the House to call the agencies to order in view of their refusal to obey court orders.
After the presentation of the petition, the speaker, Yakubu Dogara, referred the petition to the House Committee on Public Petitions for further legislative action.topics from
