The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has urged Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state to prove that he his a man of integrity by fulfilling his alleged promise to kill himself if President Muhammadu Buhari returned to Nigeria alive.
Fayose has been very critical of president Buhari, who returned to Nigeria on Saturday after spending 104 days in London attending to his health.
The Ekiti governor had said the president was on a life support.
In a statement issued by its president, Ishaq Akintola, the group described Fayose as ”an interesting study in political fanaticism and executive exuberance” who should make good his alleged promise.
Well, the president is back and Nigerians owe it a duty to ask whether or not Fayose would redeem his pledge. Is Fayose a man of his words? Will Fayose commit suicide? Will he be man enough to do just that?
The garrulous self-confessed danfo conductor (Fayose) just pushed his luck too far this time around. We are constrained to ask: Where is Fayose’s integrity
