Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Femi Fani-Kayode has thrown his weight behind former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, saying he understands challenges facing the country.
The former vice president had released a statement condemning a song promoting genocide against Igbos residing in the north.
Atiku Abubakar has also lent his voice to the recent calls for restructuring the nation.
In a tweet on Wednesday, Fani-Kayode said he has respect for the former vice president.
I respect Atiku Abubakar. He supports restructuring and has warned about the looming genocide of Igbos in the north. He understands our challenges.
Meanwhile, the former minister of aviation also condemned the attack on protesters in Abuja on Tuesday.
