Defending champions, D’ Tigers have progressed to the finals of the 2017 Afrobasket championship in Tunisia after defeating Senegal 76-71.
The host, Tunisia hadd earlier beaten Angola in the last four to qualify for the final.
Captain of the side, Ike Diogu who had already had 10 rebounds before the half time inspired the side to another triumph over the resilient Senegalese side.
D’Tigers showed courage and determination in the match, maintaining the lead throughout the encounter ands with four minutes remaining with three-pointers winning the game for the lads.
