NDDC Petitions Federal Government Over Alleged Dept

The Niger Delta Development Commission has petitioned President Muhammadu Buhari and the Senate, saying that the Federal Government owes it N1.8tn since the year 2000 when it was established.

The petition dated February 21, 2017 and signed by the Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of the Commission, Nsima Ekere, was addressed to President Buhari and copied to the President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki.

Ekere urged President Buhari to direct the Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, to immediately commence the full implementation of funding provisions in Section 14(2)(a) and (c) of the NDDC Act 2000.
