Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state on Monday said he is being intentionally kept away from President Muhammadu Buhari.
Speaking at a PDP event in Ibadan Civic Centre, Fayose said those in control of access to the president, who is on medical vacation in the UK, are keeping him away because they know he will tell the truth.
According to him, it is only fair that the President steps down as a sick person cannot govern Nigeria.
Why did they not take me to London. Why didn’t they take me there? They obviously knew very well that I would listen to the man and know whether his voice is clear or not. Then, I would be able to tell Nigerians the truth.
Leadership must come with a certain measure of strength. If you don’t have strength, how can you govern the country?
So, we need a president that is hale and hearty. If our President doesn’t want to go, let him become the Minister of Foreign Affairs in London. These are statements of fact.
President Muhammadu Buhari left the country on May 7 and has since received governors from the different political parties who returned with news of his recovery and high spirits.
Meanwhile, there has been an increase in the calls for openness about what ails the President and if he is fit to continue in office.topics from
