The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Adamawa state command have rescued a 19-year-old mother and her eight-month-old baby from Sambisa forest.
The Adamawa State Commander of the Corps, Aliyu Ndanusa, presented the mother, Mumina Hamidu who escaped from Boko Haram insurgents in Sambisa forest to media men in Yola on Friday.
The commander noted that the lady had escaped from Sambisa to Cameroon and was on her way back to Nigeria when she was picked up by his men.
Ndanusa said the girl and her baby would be transferred to relevant authorities for rehabilitation.
When interviewed by journalists, Mumina said she was forced into marriage with one of her captors, Ba Gana, who is the father of her baby.
